Cooper has made up his mind!

It only took 2 1/2 weeks for Cooper to decide that he was going to like Courtlin! He hasn't paid too much attention to her but the other day I caught him looking at her and then with no hesitation he planted a big one right on her cheek! I clapped and cheered him on and now he loves to kiss his baby sister!

We had an exciting Saturday last week. It was Cooper's birthday, my cousin Ray's wedding, and Chris had an alumni baseball game! The wedding was beautiful! It was the first time I had met Ray's girl Dani. She is really cute! Courtlin got to meet almost all my Aunts and Uncles from the Moody family. That is doing pretty good since my mom has ten in her family! Cooper had a great birthday! He had ice cream cake and he got a basketball hoop. He also loved going to watch Chris play some baseball! It was fun being back At Flyer field! It brought back SO many memories! Chris did really good! His first time up he got a double! My kids were really proud of him!

6 Quirks

So I was tagged by Amy but I can't remember the rules. I guess that just means that I have to name six quirks but not tag anyone else. You know me, I am pretty quirky!

1. I can't finish anything! No matter how hard I try, I always leave a project unfinished! It is a good thing I married Chris "Mr. Finisher". I am working on this. I promise, I will finish this tag thing!
2. I have to have fruit everyday! I crave fruit! I love fruit! I love the summer because the Atkinson's have major fruit trees and I dry fruit all summer long (but it doesn't last long!). My family would not survive without fruit (or vegies).
3. I always have music on in my house! Sometimes Chris turns it soft so he can think! Sometimes I have music on in every room! I love BYU radio! Anything oldies! I am sure I learned this at my home growing up! We used to sing around the piano for hours! Let's face it, you can't be part of the Warnick/Moody family and not love music!
4. Sometimes I ask Chris to do things that I can do for myself! It is kind of a "Princess Bride" kind of thing! I just need to know he loves me! Service is my love language!
5. I am addicted to Food Storage! I am all about being prepared for a disaster!
6. I count everything! (Tiles on the floor, holes in the laundry basket, stairs, etc.) It actually works out really good because I will count something and then forget the number and have to count everything all over! I love to count!

There I finished something! Wha-Who

Happy 2'nd Birthday Cooper!

We love our Cooper! He adds so much to our family! These are some of my favorite pictures! He got into Hunt's birthday cupcakes and we thought he was covered in camo! What a stud muffin our little man is! His favorite things are: movies, his mom, playing with any ball, and chocolate milk! Happy Birthday Cooper! We love you!!!

We went up the the Atkinson's for FHE monday. Chris' Grandpa Jensen was in town so it was fun to see him! The kids sang "Called to Serve" for us and it was awesome! Courtlin loves her Aunt Jodi! We hope that Jodi will have a baby soon so Court can have a cousin her age! No Pressure Jodi! Tate also took really good care of Court while Allie just wanted to play with the "Kitty Cat" (That is what she calls her)

Together at last

It was a great week for us! Cooper spent the first part of the week with Grammy and Chet went later in the week. They had a blast in Delta! Cooper played with Hunt (Jackie was there too), he had ice cream cones and I am sure got into trouble! (but Grammy's not telling!) Chet went to the homecoming parade and hung out with Taya he also helped Grammy and Grandpa with Wyatt's homecoming date! He wasn't sure about coming home. By Sunday afternoon we headed to Minersville to reclaim Chet before he really thought he was staying in Delta! It was so good to hang out with my parents and Elle for a minute! I miss them! I really appreciate them and all they have done and continue to do for me! Thanks Mom and Dad! I love you tons!
As we left Minersville it was a great mommy moment having all of my kids with me! Their laughter made Chris and I laugh (but by Cedar City the laughing really needed to stop)! We did get a picture right before bedtime and for me it was obvious, "The most important things in life...aren't things"!

We celebrated Court's first week by going to the temple. I was feeling the mommy blues and needed to get out! We decided to go for a walk since this is the best time of the year in St. George! The destination was the temple since I have always sought comfort by going there!
My first recollection (of the temple) is sitting on my Aunt Laura's deck at night and just staring at the temple. I also remember being sixteen for 2 or 3 weeks and I was having a hard day so I left school sobbing and decided to drive by the temple on my way home. Just as I came to the temple I saw the flashing lights and was soon explaining to the officer (sobbing out of control) that I was having a hard day and was driving by the temple to feel better! He gave me my license back and told me to feel better and he let me go. I don't really even remember why I got pulled over (I think I was speeding). Anyhow the temple is also where Chris and I were married and in my early days of motherhood when Chris would work on sunday I would almost always go for a walk around the temple. It holds a very special place for me as I am sure you all have places that do that for you!
After our walk around the temple and visiting with the awesome missionaries in the building part (where they show you how the temple was built) of the visitors center I was feeling alot better! It was good to talk to the kids about why we are here. It just adds to my testimony that Heavenly Father is there and is totally aware of what we are going through we jsut need to ask for help and courage!

Courtlin has decided to take up tanning a little early in life! The "It's a girl" picture is made with sugar cookies! Our friends brought us dinner and I thought that it was a darling idea! We have been so blessed to have great people surrounding us! Chris is a diaper changing fool, now Court needs to have more dirty diapers while daddy is home.

Our Baby Girl is here! Courtlin Cate Atkinson arrived on Saturday September 6, 2008 @ 6:22 p.m. She was 2 1/2 weeks early surprising all of us! The labor room was filled with the doctor, alot of nurses(7-8), Jackie, Brian (proxy for Jodi), Elle, my mom and of course Chris and I! I am totally hooked on her and much to Chris' surprise she has him wrapped around her little finger! He can't leave a store without looking for something she needs! (It is a good thing I am home from the hospital so I can monitor the spoiling!) She is a beautiful baby! She came into the world a little banged and bruised but it hasn't changed her cuteness! We are so happy and grateful she is in our family! I don't know what we would do without her!

Happy Birthday Grandma and Cicely! (More to come on Cicely's birthday!)

We had a great Labor Day! We went on a hike to the Temple Quarry Site. We had a great time! Brian, Jodi, Tate, and Allie came with us and that made it alot more fun! The weather was almost perfect for hiking, a little on the hot side but it was awesome! The kids loved climbing the HUGE rocks! We also saw a helicopter leave and arrive and a plane leave and arrive! We were so close that the kids really loved that!!! Thanks Brian and Jodi for coming along!
