Laughs by Cicely

I was getting Cicely ready for school today and in our conversation I was quickly reminded of a funny story.

Our "Sweet Cicely" had severe ear problems as a baby that has left a slight speech problem. Anyhow one Sunday after church we were discussing with the kids what they had learned in their classes that day.
When it came time for Cicely to tell she simply said "Elections".
"Elections huh," we responded.
"Yep, elections"
Chris and I a little worried said "Calling and election?"
"Nope, elections"
Well after drilling her the rest of the day we were clueless! We even tried to get Chris' parents to talk to her to find out. Our concern was that she just either wasn't paying attention or her hearing was so bad that she was making it all up. We let it go and on with our lives we went!
A couple of weeks later I was cleaning up lunch and doing the dishes. She brought her plate to me and said, "Mom, this wasn't very good next time follow the elections!"
I responded by saying, "Cicely you know a couple of weeks ago in Primary, was your lesson on being obedient and following the directions!"
She said"Yep" and ran off to play.
I laughed so hard! It is good to have those funny moments in life. I hope you enjoyed it.
